Emergency responders battled a two-alarm fire that ignited at La Roka Barber Shop on West Burnside Avenue in Morris Heights around 9:40 p.m. The blaze resulted in five people sustaining injuries, with two victims in critical condition following the incident.
Firefighters brought the flames under control after responding to the scene in the Bronx neighborhood. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and authorities are continuing their investigation into what sparked the two-alarm response.
