Rumer Willis announced her relocation to Nashville this week, sharing details of her cross-country move on social media. The actress, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, posted a video documenting the transition and credited Roadway Movers with safely transporting her possessions across 2,000 miles without incident.
Willis described the move as an emotional but necessary “leap of faith,” emphasizing the relief she felt knowing her belongings were secure during transport. She documented the moving company loading and unloading her items at her new Tennessee residence, highlighting the peace of mind the professional service provided throughout the process.
The relocation follows a significant legal development: a California judge granted Willis temporary primary physical custody of her three-year-old daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, in early 2025. Willis shares the child with former partner Derek Richard Thomas, a musician with whom she separated in 2024 after approximately two years together.
Both parents retain joint legal custody, allowing each to participate in major decisions regarding their daughter’s welfare. The court established a parenting schedule for Thomas beginning with monitored visits, with transitions to unsupervised overnight visits scheduled to commence in August.
