Julie Pierre, the 21-year-old operator of Roll and Dough Bakery, filed a police report with the Sunrise Police Department after discovering that a shipment of her products vanished during transit on Saturday morning. The missing order, valued at $3,000, was dispatched through Uber’s courier service and never reached its intended destination.

The South Florida bakery has garnered substantial attention on social media, where Pierre maintains hundreds of thousands of followers. After discovering the theft, she alerted her audience to the incident and speculated that the driver may have resold the merchandise on Facebook Marketplace.

Uber responded to the incident with a statement indicating concern about the situation. “This report is very troubling, and not the experience we want users to have,” a company spokesperson said. The platform subsequently suspended the driver’s access during its ongoing investigation into the matter.

Pierre sells her cinnamon rolls at farmers markets throughout the region. Uber confirmed it is continuing to examine the case and will pursue appropriate enforcement action based on its findings.
