Police in Honolulu have launched an unattended death investigation following the discovery of a Southwest Airlines flight attendant outside a hotel in Hawaii. Jenny Lupton, 50, who was based in Oklahoma, was found dead after falling from the 24th floor of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, according to the Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner.
The flight attendant had traveled to Hawaii for work and was staying at the resort with plans to return to Oklahoma after a few days. Her sister, Tresa Lupton, said Jenny had gone out with a coworker to socialize and dance, and had even received a tattoo during her stay.
Tresa Lupton expressed concern about the circumstances surrounding her sister’s death, stating the timeline raised questions and suggesting possible foul play. She indicated she was traveling to Hawaii to seek answers about what happened to her sister.
Hotel security informed the family that police are reviewing more than 70 surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the incident. The Honolulu Police Department has not confirmed whether any witnesses observed the fall and said it will not release additional details until the investigation concludes.
