Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman surrendered to police and was charged with three counts of domestic violence related to a June 3 incident in which he allegedly damaged his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle while their three-month-old child was inside. The charges against the sixth-year NFL player include battery-family violence, reckless conduct, and first-degree criminal damage to property.

According to police documents, Bateman allegedly used a blunt object to shatter the windshield and driver’s side windows of the victim’s 2021 Mercedes-Benz. The ex-girlfriend reported sustaining multiple small lacerations and contusions to her face when the glass broke, while their infant remained secured in a rear car seat during the alleged attack.

The Ravens organization acknowledged awareness of the situation in a statement Friday, noting they had communicated directly with Bateman and notified the NFL league office. The team declined further comment, citing the pending legal proceedings.

Bateman, 26, was present at the Ravens’ training camp opening in late July and has continued practicing with the team since then. Quarterback Lamar Jackson told reporters he was pleased to have one of the team’s top receivers back on the field.

The receiver signed a three-year, $36.75 million contract with Baltimore in June 2025, guaranteeing $20 million. A court initially imposed a no-contact order but later granted Bateman’s request to remove the restriction after the victim consented, while ordering him to complete a domestic violence prevention training course.
