Rockstar Games faces an unexpected setback as an unidentified hacker shared multiple minutes of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay online, potentially spoiling reveal plans before the developer’s official Netflix showcase scheduled for August 27. The highly anticipated title is slated for release on November 19, 2026, marking the end of a development cycle spanning more than a decade.

An X account operating under the handle “CyberLeek” has posted several videos showcasing gameplay footage, including an extended sequence of aerial footage demonstrating the game’s expansive map. The leaked content suggests the anonymous user has obtained an advanced build of the game and plans to continue releasing additional material.

The fictionalized map depicts Florida locations, with recognizable Miami landmarks visible in the footage, including the Freedom Tower, Southeast Financial Center, and the Kaseya Center. CyberLeek’s additional videos document vehicle driving and interior exploration, though authentication of the material remains unconfirmed as debate intensifies across social media platforms regarding legitimacy.

Response from the gaming community has focused primarily on criticism of Rockstar and parent company Take Two Interactive rather than the leaker. Users questioned whether the visual quality meets expectations given the extended development timeline, while others objected to the publisher’s decision to release the game exclusively in digital format without physical copies.

CyberLeek stated intentions to continue distributing leaked content in defense of “players rights” and demanded an apology from Rockstar. Neither Rockstar Games nor Take Two Interactive has publicly commented on the leaked material, which continues to face removal from various platforms.
