Paris Jackson disclosed how her father Michael Jackson maintained household discipline despite the extraordinary circumstances of their upbringing, requiring his children to complete schoolwork and chores before enjoying weekend activities. The pop icon enforced a consistent reward system across multiple residences, using entertainment venues as incentives for good behavior. Speaking on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with host Alexandra Cooper, Jackson explained how this framework gave structure to an otherwise unconventional family dynamic.

The system operated with clear boundaries regarding Neverland’s attractions, which Jackson emphasized were explicitly off-limits to the Jackson children. Michael made certain his sons and daughter understood that the amusement facilities existed for underprivileged and terminally ill children, not for personal family use. This approach reinforced responsibility while teaching gratitude and perspective during their formative years.

As the family relocated frequently, rarely remaining in one location longer than a year, Michael adapted the incentive structure to local venues. In Las Vegas, weekend privileges might include visits to Circus Circus; in Virginia, Chuck E. Cheese became the reward destination.
