Miranda Kerr discussed her distinctive dietary approach on podcaster Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s be Honest” program, describing how a past health diagnosis transformed her relationship with food. The 43-year-old former Victoria’s Secret model emphasized that nutrition functions as medicine, driving her choices toward foods that nourish both body and spirit rather than simply maintaining her appearance.

Six years ago, Kerr was diagnosed with proctitis, a form of irritable bowel syndrome, while pregnant with her second son. Two years later, she revealed to Get the Gloss that she consumed a liter of celery juice daily as an anti-inflammatory remedy and has since achieved remission from the condition. This health challenge prompted her to fundamentally rethink her approach to eating and wellness.

Kerr’s morning routine begins with noni juice, a practice she has maintained for 30 years since age 13, consumed as a 30-millimeter shot for its antioxidant and mineral content. She follows this with marshmallow leaf tea to support gut health, then coconut yogurt with honey and banana before her coffee, which she describes as her moment of bliss.

For protein, Kerr consumes meats including venison, bison, lamb, and turkey, deliberately avoiding mass-produced options. She eliminated eggs from her diet and avoids dairy and wheat products entirely, cooking exclusively with coconut oil or avocado oil while excluding seed oils completely.

Her diet incorporates abundant squash, carrots, and parsnips, along with limited salmon due to mercury concerns. Kerr has abandoned sushi despite once living on it in New York, citing parasite risks, though she makes an exception for caviar. For desserts, she favors carob-based treats, including carob hot chocolate made with coconut milk and maple syrup.

Kerr prioritizes meditation over traditional exercise given her current schedule and shares dance parties with her children as stress relief. She believes feeling vital and energized surpasses physical appearance, stating this wellness philosophy guides all her lifestyle choices. She shares five children: Flynn, 15, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, and Hart, 8, Myles, 6, and Pierre, 2, with husband Evan Spiegel, Snapchat’s founder.
