The Ozone Park neighborhood will come together this evening to pay respects to Army Sgt. Angel Rampersad, a Queens-born servicemember who died in a militant strike targeting an American military installation in Jordan. Local residents plan to light candles in his memory during the gathering.
Rampersad’s death marks a significant loss for the community where he grew up and developed his roots before joining the military.
