Braden Peters, the 20-year-old internet personality known as Clavicular, defended his “looksmaxxing” movement against accusations of promoting incel ideology during an appearance on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show on July 21. The viral streamer characterized the self-improvement regimen as fundamentally opposed to the ethos of involuntary celibates, who are often criticized for misogynistic views.

Clavicular described looksmaxxing as a strict health and fitness regimen designed to optimize physical appearance, encompassing practices including stimulant use and bone smashing—striking facial bones with a hammer to purportedly encourage bone growth. He argued that the movement seeks to help individuals escape the incel category rather than embrace it.

During the conversation, Clavicular assessed contemporary dating dynamics as problematic for both sexes. He acknowledged that women on dating apps may gravitate toward top-tier profiles while simultaneously questioning whether they could be blamed given the quality of male prospects available, framing the issue as systemic rather than gender-specific.

A previous April interview with “60 Minutes Australia” correspondent Adam Hegarty ended acrimoniously when the journalist pressed Clavicular about incel connections and ties to internet personality Andrew Tate. Clavicular denied any association with the incel community and abruptly departed the interview.

The streamer faced arrest in March on a battery charge after allegedly instigating a fight between two women that he subsequently posted online, intensifying scrutiny regarding his conduct toward women on livestreams. Hannity concluded their discussion by wishing Clavicular success and advising caution going forward.
