Congressional Investigators Scrutinize Epstein’s Banker as Model Scout Dies in France

Justice Department records contradict Staley’s account, showing Epstein was among his most significant clients at the bank. The financier visited Staley’s properties in New Mexico and his private island while the banker held a senior position at JPMorgan. Investigators allege Staley leveraged his influence to suppress internal warnings about Epstein’s activities and protect the relationship.

Republican Kentucky Rep. James Comer emphasized that Staley repeatedly defended Epstein to bank leadership despite mounting red flags. Lawmakers are investigating how Epstein cultivated connections with wealthy and influential figures globally. New inquiries focus on whether Epstein engaged in blackmail schemes targeting powerful individuals, potentially on behalf of foreign intelligence operations.

In a separate development, Daniel Siad, an international model scout under French police investigation for rape and human trafficking, was discovered dead at his residence outside Paris. Siad had received substantial payments to arrange meetings between models and Epstein, two of whom later alleged abuse. French authorities have not disclosed an official cause of death, though Siad’s attorney attributed the death to a heart attack and reiterated his client’s innocence claims.
