Two Teachers Arrested After Workplace Confrontation at Miami Charter School Turns Violent

Police in Miami have arrested two educators employed at The SEED School of Miami following a violent confrontation between the former romantic partners on school grounds. The July 17 incident unfolded inside a classroom at the charter boarding school after one teacher requested a meeting to discuss personal matters, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police arrest affidavit reviewed by Fox News Digital.

Terrod Tiyan Torrence, 36, and Odiria Biggins share a child together and had previously been involved in a romantic relationship. Investigators determined that their conversation in Classroom 119 quickly escalated into physical violence, with Biggins alleging that Torrence struck her repeatedly on the left side of her head and slammed her skull against a wall, rendering her unconscious.

After regaining consciousness, Biggins retrieved a pepper spray canister from her vehicle and located Torrence elsewhere on the campus, deploying the chemical agent against him. Surveillance footage documented Biggins entering a classroom where Torrence was present, with both individuals emerging moments later as Torrence exhibited visible signs of distress including difficulty walking and eye irritation. He required hospitalization for treatment of his injuries.

Biggins was arrested Monday and charged with discharging a weapon on school property and misdemeanor domestic violence battery, with her bond set at $2,000 by a judge who found probable cause. Torrence was apprehended Tuesday by Miami-Dade Schools Police and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence battery. He appeared before Judge Alicia Garcia Priovolos, who imposed a $2,000 bond and a pretrial no-contact order prohibiting communication with Biggins, with his arraignment scheduled for September 23.
