Lauderhill police launched an investigation into a multi-vehicle collision that included a bicyclist on Tuesday morning near West Sunrise Boulevard and Northwest 31st Avenue. The incident required hospitalization for at least one individual while several others received medical evaluation at the crash site, authorities confirmed.
Emergency responders from Lauderhill Police Department and Fire Rescue arrived at the scene following reports of the crash. One vehicle veered off the roadway and became lodged in nearby bushes, prompting rescue personnel to extract an occupant from the wreckage.
A total of four people underwent evaluation or treatment at the location, with at least one transported to a hospital for additional medical care. Police withheld information regarding the extent of injuries sustained by those involved in the incident.
The westbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard experienced significant traffic disruptions as emergency crews worked at the scene. Authorities also reported additional traffic restrictions throughout the surrounding area as the investigation continued.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Motorists traveling through the area were urged to exercise caution and anticipate potential delays.
