The former seventh-round selection by the Miami Dolphins reflected on his journey in an emotional post, pledging to pass along his knowledge to the next generation of aspiring athletes.
Gaskin’s final NFL appearance came during the 2025 season with the Seattle Seahawks, the Super Bowl-winning franchise. In limited action, the Lynnwood, Washington native registered three offensive snaps and five special teams snaps, accumulating six yards on three carries in his lone game with the team.
Selected 234th overall in the 2019 draft by Miami, Gaskin spent his first four seasons developing with the Dolphins before reaching a starting role. His most productive year came in 2021, when he rushed for 612 yards on 173 attempts with three touchdowns while adding 49 receptions for 234 yards and four scores.
The University of Washington product achieved distinction as the school’s first true freshman running back to surpass 1,000 rushing yards in a single season, accomplishing the feat in 2015 with 1,302 yards. Over his career, Gaskin accumulated 1,360 rushing yards and 102 receptions for 712 yards with 13 total touchdowns across multiple NFL teams.
After a 2023 roster cut by Miami, Gaskin joined the Vikings, Rams, Jaguars, and Ravens before signing with Seattle. His travels concluded with a championship ring in Santa Clara, California.
