The 81-year-old rock legend Rod Stewart canceled his Sunday performance at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center just hours before curtain, citing the need for an urgent but minor medical procedure. The British singer had been scheduled to perform with fellow artist Richard Marx as part of his ongoing “One Last Time” tour. Organizers announced the abrupt postponement late in the day, assuring attendees that rescheduling efforts were underway with details expected by Tuesday.
The venue confirmed that all previously purchased tickets would remain valid for the rescheduled date. Officials expressed confidence in Stewart’s swift recovery and noted his eagerness to return to the Cincinnati stage. Stewart’s representation declined to provide additional specifics about the nature of the medical matter.
This marks the second major disruption to Stewart’s tour schedule in recent months. In May, he canceled two consecutive performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on medical advice, subsequently apologizing to fans and revealing he was recovering from a sinus infection while observing vocal rest.
Stewart encountered further complications in June when he scrapped another show in Chula Vista hours before performing, again citing voice problems despite completing treatment. That same month, he nearly collapsed during a live performance and required oxygen assistance from his medical team to continue the show.
