Two Separate “Mini-Bigfoot” Encounters Reported Across Western Pennsylvania Counties

Witnesses in southwestern Pennsylvania have reported encounters with unusual creatures bearing similarities to Bigfoot, though substantially smaller in stature. The two incidents occurred on consecutive evenings—Tuesday, August 18, and Wednesday, August 19—and involved bipedal figures standing approximately three and a half to five feet tall, according to accounts documented by researcher Stan Gordon.

The first sighting unfolded on a farm in Indiana County when a woman heard disturbances near farm buildings while completing chores. Upon investigating, she observed two hair-covered figures crouching behind trees roughly 60 feet distant, which subsequently stood upright and began moving with what appeared to be playful intent. The creatures displayed light brown fur, walked on two legs, had no discernible necks, and produced vocalizations resembling infant cooing, the witness reported.

The encounter concluded when the woman sneezed, alerting the creatures to her presence. She retreated indoors and later heard similar cooing sounds at night. Her family dog exhibited fearful behavior following the incident, and her husband reported hearing loud knocking on the day of the sighting, though he saw nothing himself.

A second witness in Westmoreland County reported observing a single hair-covered creature running uphill along a rural road the following evening around 8 p.m. The witness estimated the creature’s height at five feet, described it as charcoal-gray in color, and noted its dome-shaped head, long swinging arms, and small dark eyes. The sighting lasted only seconds before the creature retreated down the hillside.

Stan Gordon indicated the region has documented history of Bigfoot and UFO reports, though no verifiable connection exists between these recent sightings and previous incidents. Both accounts lack supporting physical evidence or photographic documentation, leaving the incidents without corroboration typical of such reports.
