The US Open tennis tournament is returning to its home in Queens while a separate initiative brings upgraded facilities to the Bronx. Coinciding with the major tournament’s run, newly renovated courts in the Bronx are reopening to the public, marking a significant investment in the borough’s recreational infrastructure.
Tournament organizers are making the event more accessible to local residents through a ticket program aimed at New York City dwellers. A total of 1,000 tickets priced at $100 each are being made available, substantially below standard market rates for US Open matches.
