Emergency responders in Margate rushed to a sidewalk near 7900 Northwest 1st Street on Sunday afternoon after receiving reports of two people struck by lightning. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., prompting a swift response from Margate Police and Margate Fire Rescue to the scene.

The victims were identified as Kenya Glasgow, 40, and her 2-year-old son. Medical personnel immediately initiated life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, while preparing both individuals for transport to area hospitals.
