Miami authorities are looking into a predawn shooting incident that left at least one vehicle peppered with gunfire, though no one was hurt in the attack, police said Friday. Officers responded to two ShotSpotter alerts shortly after midnight and established a containment zone spanning Northwest Seventh Avenue between Northwest 52nd and 54th streets as they worked to secure the scene.

Gunfire continued to ring out in the neighborhood even after law enforcement arrived on the scene, according to statements from police. A person at the location told detectives that another individual had opened fire in their direction, and investigators subsequently located a car that bore the marks of multiple bullet strikes.

Despite the intensity of the gunfire exchange, the Miami Police Department confirmed that no victims sustained injuries. Authorities have provided no details regarding a suspect or the circumstances that may have sparked the violence, and the case remains under active investigation.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the Miami Police Department or reach Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 with information.
