Law enforcement officials in Glen Cove are actively investigating and seeking two adolescents connected to the operation of prohibited electric motor bikes and alleged interference during a traffic enforcement action. The teenagers are suspected of behavior that officers characterize as a threat to public safety and law enforcement operations.
According to Glen Cove police, the two individuals rode non-compliant e-bikes while allegedly inserting themselves into an ongoing traffic stop, creating hazardous conditions for both uniformed officers conducting the stop and motorists present at the scene. Such conduct poses significant risks to all parties involved, authorities stated.
The investigation remains active as police continue efforts to identify and locate the two suspects. Anyone with information regarding the incident or the teenagers’ whereabouts is urged to contact Glen Cove police directly.
