A fatal collision between a postal service vehicle and a pedestrian has prompted authorities to launch a search for the driver in Manhattan. The incident occurred early morning on Ninth Avenue between West 54th and West 55th streets, claiming the life of a 66-year-old man.
According to law enforcement, the victim was traversing Ninth Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk when the USPS truck struck him just after 5:30 a.m. The driver fled the scene, leaving investigators to pursue the case as a hit-and-run fatality.
