A series of wildfires across eastern Washington state has prompted authorities to evacuate approximately 60,000 residents in the Spokane region, according to emergency management officials. The blazes have destroyed a minimum of 600 structures, including homes and commercial buildings, leaving significant devastation in their wake.
Officials continue to assess the full extent of the damage as firefighting efforts remain ongoing in the affected areas surrounding Spokane.
