Tennis professional Taylor Fritz ended a six-year relationship with influencer Morgan Riddle in April, marking a shift in his personal life. Unlike Riddle, who publicly stated she would no longer date athletes following their breakup, Fritz has made no such declarations regarding his dating preferences or social circles.
During a recent golf outing with content creators Nick Nayersina, David Dobrik, and Josh Richards that was filmed for YouTube, the conversation turned to celebrity crushes. When asked to name his celebrity crush, Fritz immediately responded with actress Sydney Sweeney’s name and confirmed his answer with a nod when pressed for sincerity.
Influencer Josh Richards suggested the tennis star had a viable chance with the Hollywood actress, despite her current relationship status. Several of the golfers noted that Sweeney had previously expressed interest in their golf content, meaning she would likely become aware of Fritz’s public admission.
Following a golf shot moments after the exchange, Fritz acknowledged the topic had rattled him, telling the camera that discussing Sweeney had him “all f—-ng tee’d up.” The tennis player is scheduled to compete against Rafael Jodar in Sunday’s Mubadala DC Open final, though weather could affect the match timing.
