A gathering of more than 100 people assembled along the Passaic River on Sunday to honor the memories of two 10-year-old children who lost their lives by drowning. Attendees released pink and blue rose petals into the water as part of the solemn remembrance ceremony.
Many of those present had no personal connection to the victims, yet the gravity of the loss moved them to attend and show their support for the grieving families. The spontaneous outpouring of compassion demonstrated how the tragedy resonated deeply throughout the broader community.
