Authorities in Miami responded to a shooting Thursday evening that left a man in his 30s with serious injuries. The incident occurred near the intersection of Northwest Second Avenue and 12th Street, according to Miami police.

Officers confirmed the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the torso. Miami Fire Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
