A 22-year-old Miramar resident appeared before a Broward County judge Tuesday following her arrest in connection with an alleged weapon assault. Monay Durosier, from Miami Gardens, was taken into custody Monday evening shortly after 6:40 p.m. during a traffic stop on Miramar Parkway, police documents indicate.
A Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Lynch had authorized Durosier’s arrest warrant on July 24, based on an alleged incident at the victim’s residence nearly two weeks earlier. According to the arrest warrant, the July 12 attack involved Durosier and three other women who allegedly armed themselves with cooking pots and struck the victim in the back of the head, court records show.
Durosier faces a first-degree felony charge of burglary with assault or battery. She was held on a $20,000 bond pending further court proceedings, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office records and the warrant application filed by the investigating detective.
