A collision involving at least eight vehicles erupted on Interstate 95’s southbound express lanes near Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday afternoon, leaving three individuals hospitalized. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue confirmed that all three victims are expected to recover from their injuries sustained in the incident.
The crash forced authorities to shut down both the southbound express lanes and two adjacent regular I-95 lanes, creating substantial traffic congestion throughout the area. Aerial footage from Sky 10 captured the widespread lane closures and the resulting gridlock that affected motorists attempting to travel through the corridor.
