Two educational staff members sustained injuries during an assault at a Bronx-area high school when a teenage student wielded a blade against them, according to law enforcement officials. The incident prompted an immediate response from local police and school administrators.
The assailant, identified as a 17-year-old student, left the school campus following the attack. Investigators are actively searching for the youth, who was wearing a black shirt and blue sweater at the time of departure and carrying a blue backpack.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances that preceded the violent confrontation or the severity of injuries sustained by the two aides. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to apprehend the suspect.
