Footage released this week documents the moment a Miami-Dade Transit bus struck a building in the Miami Beach area during the early morning hours of Monday. The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. in the vicinity of 86th Street and Harding Avenue, resulting in significant structural and infrastructure damage at the scene.
The collision ruptured natural gas lines serving the building, forcing authorities to evacuate nearby properties as a precautionary measure. Emergency responders worked to secure the area and assess the extent of the gas leak that had developed following the impact.
Two individuals were transported to Mount Sinai Medical Center after experiencing respiratory complications stemming from exposure to the escaping gas. Multiple street closures remained in effect throughout the vicinity while repair crews addressed the damaged gas infrastructure and restored the system to safe operating conditions.
