Miami police launched an investigation into a traffic collision that resulted in severe injuries to a pedestrian on Sunday evening. Officers arrived at Northwest 37th Avenue and 11th Street, located near the Little Havana and Flagami neighborhoods, shortly after 8:45 p.m. and discovered an unconscious male victim lying in the roadway.
Emergency medical personnel from Miami Fire Rescue transported the injured man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment. The severity of his injuries has prompted continued investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The vehicle operator involved in the collision remained on scene and is actively assisting police with their ongoing inquiry. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the cause of the crash or the driver’s identity.
