
Jonte Jack was taken into custody by Miami police following an incident in which his two pit bulls allegedly attacked a man in the Wynwood neighborhood. The assault occurred while the victim was jogging with his own dog through the area, authorities reported.
The 30-year-old victim, identified as Evan Motlong, sustained cuts and bruises from the encounter and is expected to recover. Police records indicate that Jack encouraged the dogs to attack, according to the runner’s account to officers.
Bystander video footage captured the aftermath of the attack, showing Motlong on the ground as the two pit bulls departed the scene with their owner. The recording provided documentation of the incident for investigators.
Jack faces multiple criminal charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony battery, and criminal mischief. His arrest followed the investigation into the unprovoked animal attack.
