Suspect Arrested Following High-Speed Range Rover Pursuit Across Los Angeles County

Authorities captured a fleeing suspect Tuesday morning following an extended high-speed pursuit that stretched across multiple jurisdictions in Los Angeles County. The California Highway Patrol coordinated with law enforcement agencies to track and ultimately apprehend the driver, whose actions endangered motorists throughout the morning commute.

Santa Monica Police Department officers initiated the chase around 7:15 a.m. when they attempted to arrest the driver of a black Range Rover suspected of involvement in a road rage incident occurring approximately two weeks prior. The suspect evaded officers and accelerated onto the freeway system, triggering a high-speed pursuit captured live on FOX 11 Los Angeles.

The driver navigated through Koreatown on surface streets at speeds exceeding 100 mph, repeatedly crossing center lines and creating hazardous conditions for other commuters. By shortly after 8 a.m., the chase had extended into the San Gabriel Valley as the suspect continued westbound into Montebello.

Officers terminated the pursuit when the suspect’s vehicle entered a center median in Montebello, where a trailing patrol unit executed a tactical ramming maneuver. Multiple officers surrounded the Range Rover and took the driver into custody without further incident.
