A two-vehicle collision in Miami Gardens left three people requiring emergency transport to regional trauma facilities Wednesday afternoon. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene in the 17000 block of Northwest 47th Avenue shortly before 2 p.m., where responders found a car positioned on the sidewalk against a pickup truck.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics transported one adult and a juvenile victim by ambulance to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital’s trauma center. The third victim, another adult, was airlifted by helicopter to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Rescue personnel extricated one of the crash victims from the vehicle, according to fire department officials. As of approximately 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, specific information regarding the victims’ medical conditions and the circumstances that led to the collision remained unavailable, with Miami Gardens police and fire rescue continuing their investigation at the scene.
