Fromm Family Foods has voluntarily removed nearly 5,825 cans of wet dog food from store shelves following a potential metal contamination discovery flagged by federal regulators. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration disclosed the recall, which encompasses two specific product lines distributed to retailers nationwide.

The affected inventory includes 3,852 cans of Fromm Turkey Pâté Wet Dog Food in 12.2-ounce containers and 1,973 cans of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pâté Wet Dog Food in 12.5-ounce cans. Consumers should check their purchases for the specific lot codes and UPC numbers listed by the FDA to determine if their products are part of the recall.

The Fromm Turkey Pâté carries UPC 072705118700 with Lot Code EP2A3306 551006 and a best-by date of 032029, while the Meatloaf Pâté has UPC 072705132324 with Lot Code EP2A3306 551029 and the same best-by date. The FDA stated no illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled products as of Sunday.
