Floridians will cast ballots on November 3 to fill more than 2,360 elected and retention positions statewide. The ballot includes contests for governor, a U.S. Senate seat, and all 28 representatives in the U.S. House delegation.
Miami-Dade County voters will decide school board positions, judicial races, and mayoral contests in Palmetto Bay, South Miami, North Miami, and Sunny Isles Beach. Broward County’s ballot features five school board seats and mayoral races across Dania Beach, Davie, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, North Lauderdale, Parkland, Plantation, Tamarac, and Wilton Manors. Monroe County elections will include races in Key West, Isla Morada, and Key Colony Beach.
Voter registration closes on October 5, while the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is October 22. Early voting runs from October 24 through October 31.
Prospective voters must be U.S. citizens, legal residents, at least 18 years old, and cannot have been adjudicated mentally incapacitated or be convicted felons without rights restoration. Those convicted of murder or sexual offenses in Florida are ineligible unless the State Clemency Board restores voting rights.
Eligible voters can register and cast ballots by mail if completed timely with access to online forms, a printer, and postal service. Military members, family members, and overseas citizens may register and request absentee ballots using the Federal Post Card Application.
Miami-Dade voters who fail to sign vote-by-mail envelopes may file a signature cure affidavit with the Elections Department by 5 p.m. on the second day after Election Day. The affidavit must include a copy of identification.
