The wrestling calendar features a marquee event Friday evening when Ring of Honor presents Death Before Dishonor at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, the historic venue that once served as the epicenter of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Owned by All Elite Wrestling CEO Tony Khan, ROH has established Death Before Dishonor as one of its premier annual showcases, and this year’s card reflects that status with multiple title defenses scheduled throughout the evening.
AEW competitors will share the bill with ROH mainstays, creating a crossover card that appeals to fans of both promotions. The Death Before Dishonor main card begins at 8 p.m. ET on ROH TV, with a Zero Hour pre-show preceding the televised portion of the event.
In tag team competition, Mina Shirakawa and Queen Aminata will face Vita Van and Vertvixen after winning five consecutive matches as a unit dating back to Supercard of Honor earlier in the year. The emerging pairing of Van and VertVixen aims to derail the momentum of the established tandem.
Red Velvet’s ROH Women’s Television Championship faces its toughest test yet in a fatal four-way match against Skye Blue, Marina Shafir and Zayda Steel. Velvet has held the belt for approximately 259 days in her second reign and remains the only two-time champion at this level in ROH history.
The ROH Tag Team Championship will be contested in a four-team matchup as Místico and Máscara Dorada defend against The Kingdom, La Facción Ingobernable and Top Flight. The high-flying competitors in this bout promise an entertaining display across the evening’s lineup.
The Outrunners and Dalton Castle hold the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship after defeating Shane Taylor Promotions at Supercard of Honor in May. Their challengers will attempt to dethrone the unified group on Friday night in their bid for gold.
Lio Rush has undergone a notable character transformation in recent months, capturing the ROH Television Championship in the process. His former ally Action Andretti seeks to reclaim the title from Rush, setting up a match between wrestlers with extensive knowledge of each other’s abilities.
Deonna Purrazzo will defend the ROH Pure Women’s Championship against Steph De Lander in a Pure Rules match, marking a full-circle moment after an injury suffered during a previous encounter between the two. Purrazzo has reigned as the inaugural and only Pure Women’s Champion since the title’s creation in 2025, and the contest will follow strict Pure Rules specifications.
Lee Moriarty takes on Katsuyori Shibata for the ROH Pure Championship after Nigel McGuinness withdrew due to injury. Moriarty has maintained an impressive title reign exceeding 755 days and successfully defended against all challengers, though Shibata represents formidable competition at Philadelphia.
Athena, dubbed the “Forever Champ,” defends the ROH Women’s World Championship against Hazuki, the Stardom Spark Joshi World Champion, in a matchup that could elevate the challenger’s profile internationally. Athena’s dominant reign has withstood challenges across multiple promotions and match stipulations.
Bandido’s ROH World Championship defense against Nick Wayne concludes the evening’s championship program. Wayne has positioned himself as the prodigy ROH requires and seeks to capture the world title in what could represent a career-defining victory for the young wrestler and his family.
