Taylor Sheridan has definitively shut down persistent rumors of a “Yellowstone” spinoff centered on the character Jimmy. During an interview with Dale Brisby, the acclaimed creator made clear that despite widespread fan speculation, no such project will move forward regardless of ongoing demand.

Sheridan owns the actual 6666 ranch in Texas, where portions of the original “Yellowstone” series were filmed. The real working ranch became a focal point for fan theories about a potential standalone Jimmy storyline, given the character’s transformative arc at that location during the show’s run.

The creator explained his reasoning candidly, stating he would not fictionalize an active ranch where real people work and raise families. Sheridan noted that he has already edited together all Jimmy scenes from the Four Sixes into a complete narrative arc that functions as its own complete story without requiring additional development.

“Yellowstone” has spawned multiple successful projects, including the prequel series “Dutton Ranch” and the forthcoming “1944” prequel. While the spinoff universe continues to expand, fans hoping for Jimmy-centric content will need to look elsewhere as Sheridan remains committed to protecting the integrity of his working property.
