A man lost his life Saturday morning when he was struck by a motor vehicle in Lauderhill, according to law enforcement. The Lauderhill Police Department dispatched officers to the 4400 block of Inverrary Boulevard at approximately 7:45 a.m. in response to reports of a cyclist collision.
Emergency responders located the injured man and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene. Fire rescue personnel subsequently transported him to Broward Health Medical Center, where medical staff pronounced him deceased. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
The driver remained at the accident location and displayed no apparent signs of impairment, police stated. Traffic homicide investigators and crime scene specialists from the Lauderhill Police Department are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
Authorities cautioned that their initial findings are preliminary and subject to revision as the investigation progresses. Additional information regarding the incident has not yet been disclosed to the public.
