LaBron Kozone is stepping into the ring Saturday to settle a mounting dispute with Joe Coffey and the Glasgow Boys at an upcoming Major League Wrestling event. The confrontation stems from Coffey’s recent assault on Teddy Long, a figure Kozone credits as a key influence in his wrestling career. Kozone’s response at MLW Blood & Thunder—charging the ring with a chair before being restrained—set the stage for what promises to be an intense encounter.
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Kozone expressed his determination to hold Coffey accountable for crossing a line he considers unacceptable. While acknowledging his former respect for Coffey’s abilities and professional reputation, Kozone made clear that the attack on Long warranted retaliation. “You know, initially, I had a lot of respect for him. His talent, his work ethic, what he’s done, the people he’s affected, but that’s crossing the line,” Kozone stated.
Long’s endorsement of Kozone as “the next big thing for MLW” carries profound significance for the young wrestler. Kozone emphasized how much Long’s recognition meant to him, describing the veteran’s support as affirming his trajectory within the promotion. “Teddy was an inspiration to me, what he represents in the industry, everything that he’s done,” Kozone explained.
As one of MLW’s marquee free-agent acquisitions, Kozone has already compiled an impressive record that includes victories over Okumura and Alan Angels. Beyond Saturday’s matchup, he has set his sights on championship gold and establishing himself as the company’s top draw. “I’m here to be the top guy in MLW,” Kozone told Fox News Digital, emphasizing his belief that he can elevate the organization.
