Tina, a 2-year-old, 47-pound Carolina dog mix with striking blue eyes, has successfully secured permanent placement through the Humane Society of Broward County. The dog spent several weeks in the shelter’s care before being matched with an adoptive family, according to Cherie Wachter, a representative with the organization.
Described as an easygoing companion with a gentle temperament, Tina demonstrated strong behavioral traits during her time at the shelter. She proved house-trained, walked well on a leash without pulling, and showed comfort during leisurely outdoor activities, making her suitable for adopters seeking a relaxed canine companion.
Prior to her successful placement, Tina had been introduced to one family with children and exhibited positive interactions with the household members. That particular adoption did not move forward, though Tina’s ability to adapt to new environments suggested she would eventually find the right match with proper adjustment time.
The Humane Society of Broward County continues its adoption efforts with other animals currently available for placement. Two 6-month-old black kitten brothers, Adam and Drew, remain in the facility seeking a home together, with Adam displaying an outgoing personality and Drew being somewhat more reserved.
The shelter’s adoption department operates daily beginning at 11 a.m. Prospective adopters may streamline the process by completing pre-adoption applications through the shelter’s website prior to visiting the facility in person.
