The Broward Sheriff’s Office dispatched deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue personnel to a Home Depot location Friday afternoon following a reported incident in the parking lot. First responders arrived at 1701 West Oakland Park Boulevard shortly after 2:45 p.m., according to emergency dispatch records.
Upon arrival, BSO patrol units blocked access to a white work van with a deteriorated roof that was positioned in the center of a roadway within the parking lot. The vehicle’s driver-side door was found open at the time of the response.
Fire rescue personnel stationed a truck near the store’s entrance adjacent to a display of outdoor grills. Investigators are seeking information from the public regarding this matter and other related cases.
