School Bus Aide Charged With Sexual Assault of Special Needs Student in Pennsylvania

A 62-year-old school bus aide in Pennsylvania faces multiple criminal charges following allegations that he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl with special needs aboard a bus operated by Bensalem Township. Ali Khan was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault and related offenses, authorities confirmed.

The victim’s parents alerted police on Thursday, July 30, that their daughter had been inappropriately touched by a bus aide that same day. Investigators determined Khan engaged in the alleged misconduct on two separate occasions—Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30—while transporting the Bensalem High School student to an extended school year program.

Surveillance video from the bus captured Khan allegedly directing the girl to a particular seat and then touching her inappropriately while fastening her seatbelt and after she was seated. Police said the footage also showed Khan apparently engaging in sexual conduct and using his cellphone to photograph or record the girl without authorization.

Khan remained held at Bucks County Correctional Facility after being unable to post 10 percent of his $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026, as the investigation continues.

The Bensalem Township School District immediately suspended Khan and stated it is cooperating fully with law enforcement while conducting its own administrative review. Both the police department and school district emphasized that student safety remains their paramount concern.
