President Donald J. Trump captured the Senior Division championship at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster on Sunday with a 2-under par score of 70. The victory marks what Trump characterized as his 40th club championship title, achieved on one of the country’s most challenging championship courses.
The score carries particular significance given the layout of the Bedminster facility, a Tom Fazio design that has hosted the U.S. Women’s Open and LIV Golf events. The course features extensive water hazards and deep bunkers, making a 2-under round a notable achievement on championship-caliber grounds.
Trump posted a message on Truth Social following the win, attributing his success to limited practice time due to other commitments. “I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things,” he wrote, adding “It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!”
The victory comes after months of media scrutiny regarding Trump’s physical fitness and ability to play competitive golf. The president’s championship performance directly contradicts months of claims questioning his stamina and capacity to complete 18 holes.
