Donna Mills, the 85-year-old actress best known for her role as Abby Cunningham on the 1980s series “Knots Landing,” is entering the digital creator space by launching an OnlyFans account. The move marks an unconventional career pivot for the television icon, who aims to foster closer relationships with her longtime supporters through the subscription-based platform.
Mills told Variety that the platform represents an evolution in how she maintains fan engagement beyond traditional social media channels. She plans to share personal daily moments and exclusive behind-the-scenes content while maintaining authenticity in her interactions with subscribers, positioning the account as a natural extension of her existing public presence rather than a departure from her established persona.
Andy Bachman, CEO of OnlyFans’ parent company Creators INC., emphasized that Mills is not reinventing herself for the platform. According to Bachman, Mills approached the decision with characteristic boldness, viewing OnlyFans as another avenue to allow fans access to the personality and style they have long appreciated, while remaining fully aligned with who she is as a public figure.
The announcement arrives weeks after Mills disclosed her fitness regimen during an appearance on the “Really Famous” podcast hosted by Kara Mayer Robinson. Mills attributed her physical condition at 85 to consistent exercise and regular tennis play, crediting her background as a dancer for instilling lifelong fitness habits that have helped her avoid common age-related health issues including joint replacements.
Mills cautioned against abandoning physical activity in later years, noting that extended breaks from exercise result in permanent loss of conditioning that cannot be fully recovered. She emphasized that maintaining fitness requires continuous effort and commitment, encouraging older adults not to surrender to sedentary lifestyles as they age.
Mills’ prominent television career spanned from 1980 to 1989 on “Knots Landing,” where her portrayal of the cunning and fashionable Abby Cunningham established her as one of soap opera television’s most iconic villains, recognized for her distinctive blonde hair and bold wardrobe choices.
