The Humane Society of Broward County is actively seeking adoptive families for Jinx, a spirited 14-week-old kitten who has recently bounced back from illness. Described as exceptionally sociable and curious, Jinx enjoys climbing, playing and seeking affection from those around her. Her outgoing nature became immediately apparent when shelter spokesperson Cherie Wachter opened her kennel door and the kitten promptly climbed onto her shoulder.
Wachter highlighted Jinx’s calm demeanor and easygoing temperament as distinguishing qualities, noting the kitten remained composed during a recent television studio appearance. Such composure is noteworthy among animals her age, according to the shelter official. The young cat’s personality and recovery from her recent illness make her an ideal candidate for a loving home environment.
Beyond Jinx, the facility is currently housing a significant population of dogs, with particular emphasis on larger breeds weighing 40 pounds or more. Angel, a 6-year-old mixed bully breed, exemplifies the available options and has demonstrated compatibility with children, cats and other canines. Angel is also house-trained, making her a practical choice for potential adopters seeking an already well-adjusted companion.
The Humane Society of Broward County encourages prospective pet owners to visit the facility in person to meet adoptable animals. Interested individuals can learn more about the adoption process through the shelter’s official channels and website.
