Wilby, a Labrador mix with a winning personality, is ready to find his forever home through the Humane Society of Broward County. The dog arrived at the facility as a transfer from another shelter and has quickly won over the staff with his affectionate demeanor.
According to Matthew Seligman, a representative for the organization, Wilby displays exceptional friendliness and engagement with people. Although predominantly Labrador in breed composition, the canine’s facial characteristics suggest mixed heritage that gives him a distinctive look.
The energetic dog would benefit most from an owner committed to ongoing training and behavioral enrichment, Seligman said. Wilby responds positively to harness training during walks, which provides handlers with better control during outdoor activities.
His strong food motivation makes him an excellent candidate for reward-based training approaches, according to shelter officials. Already neutered and fully prepared for transition, Wilby can join a new family immediately upon adoption.
