A 25-year-old man accused of a home invasion in Fort Lauderdale appeared in Broward County court on Friday, while his alleged 18-year-old accomplice was hospitalized.Sean Ian Thompson, 25, and Dareon Publien, 18, were accused of breaking into a home at about 6 p.m. on Thursday in the area of Northwest 19th Avenue and Eighth Street. Thompson and Publien were armed when a man who had used Airbnb to rent the home fired at them and injured Publien, according to police. Police officers found Publien was shot in the torso, and fire rescue personnel took him as a trauma alert to the Broward Health Medical Center, according to police. Thompson faced charges of attempted murder and home invasion. A judge denied him bond.
