Deputies investigate shooting after 1 dead, 1 injured in Lauderdale Lakes

On Monday morning, detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office were investigating a recent fatal shooting in Lauderdale Lakes. A man died, and another man was injured after a shooting at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday at Carefree Cove, a gated community of manufactured homes. Witnesses said the BSO’s response to the crime scene in the area of Northwest 32nd Avenue and 37th Street included a helicopter and patrol cars. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel also responded and took the man injured to the Broward Health Medical Center, where he remained on Monday.BSFR personnel did not rescue the man who died after arriving at a hospital, according to deputies.
