WWE star Roxanne Perez reminds fans to respect wrestlers’ boundaries while on the road: ‘We are just humans’

WWE superstars are some of the most recognizable faces in sports and give fans who come to watch them every opportunity to meet with them and greet them through special access events.But with their popularity, there have been some incidents where some stars have been made to feel uncomfortable by the barrage of requests that come at them. It has been seen all too often in which stars are bombarded with requests at hotels and at airports.CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK PRO WRESTLING COVERAGEPaige was among those who recently spoke out about autograph seekers at airports while she was trying to catch a connecting flight.Roxanne Perez, who earned a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Triplemania 34 Night 1 in Las Vegas on Friday night, spoke about the rabid fan base in an interview with OutKick Dropkick before her match. She made clear that she loves the fans but agreed there has to be some kind of a line.”First off, I love my fans so much,” she said. “I love all of the fans. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the fans. And I think being a fan myself, growing up as a fan, I can see it in a different light. I think these fans, they love what we do, they respect us so much. They admire us. It is a big deal when they get to meet us and they get their picture signed. DOWNLOAD HIS DAILY PODCAST NOW!Perez said when she and her fellow wrestlers are on the road, their hotels are essentially their homes and that it does hurt her to tell fans that she’s unable to sign anything for them because she’s been in their shoes before.”We obviously have the arenas. The arenas are where we show up. There’s an exact location where you go and meet and meet the WWE superstars,” she continued. “That’s always what I did when I was a kid. But also, when we are on the road, our hotels are our home. When we’re running late for a plane and trying to catch our flight, and it does break my heart to tell people no, but at the same time, we do have to respect everybody’s privacy.”We are just humans. We are WWE superstars but we are just humans. We’re trying to live our life while also trying to make the fans happy. But there’s gotta be some line. That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate our fans at all. I just think there needs to be a little bit of a line.
