Ronnie Garcia, a tourist from Oklahoma in the Florida Keys, was armed and drunk on Tuesday when he attacked a victim, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Garcia, 20, of Choctaw, had been kicked out of a house in Marathon before he returned to kick a door and threaten people at gunpoint on Tuesday night, according to the MDCSO. “Garcia bit one of the victims on the arm,” a spokesperson for MDCSO wrote in a statement. Deputies arrested Garcia at about 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday after thea victim detained him along Knights Key Boulevard, according to MDCSO. “Garcia urinated himself and attempted to splash that urine on EMS while they were checking his vitals,” the MDCSO spokesperson wrote. “He was medically cleared at Fishermen’s Hospital and taken to jail.” Garcia faced nine charges: Aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, armed home invasion robbery, battery, improper exhibition of a firearm, simple assault on EMS, three counts of resisting arrest, and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. His bond was $150,000.
